Helllo all, i want to build a nice size toy chest but been having troubles locating a set of drawings or even good pictures to go off of. i don�t have a dovetail jig, so i would need to find a different way of joining the corners.. Child's bench toy box the front view shows the box with its dovetail joints and the back with its spindles. note the casters and the decorations which can be simply carved or stenciled. the side view shows the arm rest (also with spindles) the recessed bottom for the casters, the end of the internal tray, and the curve the lid makes when opened.. Attach hinges to box (s ee figure w). figure w lay the box on its back and line up hinges to the lid mortises and drill and attach the hinges. make sure not to drill through the top of the lid by placing a piece of tape on the drill bit to show the depth of the bit while drilling (s ee figure x)..
