This is a brand new shed. no stains. the underside is treated where it touches the ground (gravel pad), but the floor plywood is not. i made the point of my parents' shed because after almost 30 years, with the same construction (treated 6x6 and untreated plywood floor on a gravel pad), the ply is still fine.. The floor can be painted with a good epoxy or oil paint, you can pick up a piece of rubber or sheet of teflon from bdi, clyde ave donovan's. you'll. Looking for ideas on the best way to preserve and protect the plywood floor of my new shed. i would like to put down something that will be easy to sweep out, but keep the oil and gas from penetrating the wood from the yard equipment etc... it's going to be a workshop and storage shed..
I just had a shed delivered and will be painting it this weekend. i can't figure out to what to do with the unfinished, but treated 3/4" plywood floor.. The shed is a lifted a few inches and over gravel. it currently has plywood flooring. it is a very nice shed so i thought it would be a good idea to invest in a durable flooring to protect against wear and tear (push lawn mower, liquid spills, muddy boots).. Shed construction. good morning! i would personally go ahead and paint the plywood flooring with a couple coats of acrylic porch and floor paint. acrylic floor paint has the ability to flex, oil does not. plywood with age tends to have the grain separate. i added 10ml plastic between the joists and floor for protection..
